We did not have a good experience trying to use ffmpeg - error handling especially was quite brittle. May I ask, why do you want to use ffmpeg rather than gstreamer?

Yeah, so… the honest answer is: we tried ffmpeg, we couldn’t make it work, so we gave up and used gstreamer instead. If you manage to make ffmpeg work reliably, maybe you can tell us how to do it! 😅
