Hi everyone, I’m new to LiveKit and working on a local setup. I’m using livekit-server version 1.9.8 and livekit-sip version 0.0.0-dev. I’ve been trying to make my agent detect the dialed or calling number from a SIP participant (I’m calling from Zoiper) before answering the call so I can make decisions based on my database. I tried looking in the documentation and checking
room.participants
and
remote_participants
, but it doesn’t seem to work — I keep getting
None
. Could someone guide me on the best way to reliably get the SIP caller number in the agent before answering the call? Thank you so much for your help!

I think you want to call
wait_for_participant()
, something like this example: https://docs.livekit.io/agents/server/job/#room-metadata-and-participant-attributes. But you're asking about self-hosted livekit and I'm less familiar with that - you might also try asking in #C07FVFL1H3P if this is specific to local setup.
