We ran into an issue after updating our agent to use @livekit/rtc-node 0.13.22 and @livekit/agents 1.0.31. Previously, the following server-side code was working as expected:
Copy code
const roomService = new RoomServiceClient(livekitUrl, livekitApiKey, livekitApiSecret);
const textId = randomUUID();
const message = {
  action: 'add_text',
  text_id: textId,
  text: 'Good job!',
};

await roomService.sendData(
  args.input.roomName,
  new TextEncoder().encode(JSON.stringify(message)),
  DataPacket_Kind.RELIABLE,
  { topic: 'server-commands' },
);
Since the upgrade, the agent no longer receives this data message, even though the code and topic have not changed. Has anyone seen a similar issue with these versions or is there a change in how agents consume
server-commands
data that we might be missing?

Which version did this previously work in? I wrote a quick test harness and also do not see messages arrive, but I would like to confirm I am testing correctly.

0.13.20 we switched to 0.13.22 it stopped working The agent version but also changed to 1.0.31 from 1.0.22

I see the same in my test harness. 0.13.20 receives the messages, but looks like 0.13.21 fails to receive them. I see you also raised https://github.com/livekit/node-sdks/issues/587, let me ping internally to get eyes on that, but in the mean time, I suggest sticking with 0.13.20
