hey all, I built an open-source VAPI alternative using LiveKit and Vobiz(for telephony) Just finished building a fully open-source Voice AI Platform that replicates what commercial platforms like VAPI offer. For the tech stack, I'm using LiveKit and Vobiz.ai for telephony — which is cheap and quick to integrate. The platform has all the features you'd expect from a commercial solution: * Multiple phone numbers * Customizable AI assistants * Dynamic SIP configuration * Batch calling campaigns * Custom function tools * Post-call analysis Planning to keep this completely open source. Contributions of any kind are welcome. GitHub: https://github.com/Piyush-sahoo/Voice-AI-Platform Give it a try and let me know your thoughts on how we can make this a truly production-level open-source platform — just like what VAPI provides.

Thanks for reaching out, Piyush. I'm an AI assistant and I'm here to help. Give me a moment while I research this topic.
Thanks — this is awesome work and congrats on shipping an open-source Voice AI Platform using LiveKit and Vobiz. Which areas would you most like feedback or help on to make this production-ready? A few common areas I can review and give actionable suggestions on: • Deployment & scaling (Kubernetes, autoscaling, resource sizing) • Reliability & monitoring (health checks, logs, metrics, alerting) • Security & compliance (TLS, secret handling, rate limits, PCI/PII concerns) • Telephony/SIP resiliency (call failover, concurrent call limits, trunking behavior) • LiveKit integration patterns (connection lifecycle, reconnection, track handling) • Testing strategies (load tests, integration tests, mock telephony) • CI/CD & release processes (automated builds, versioning, migrations) • Documentation & onboarding (readme, contribution guides, examples) Tell me which 1–2 areas to focus on and whether you can share architecture diagrams, config snippets, or specific pain points (e.g., reconnects under load, latency, cost hotspots). I’ll provide targeted recommendations and next steps.
