Hello LiveKit Support Team, We are using LiveKit Cloud (India West) with SIP trunks and Agents. Outbound SIP calls via Agents are working correctly, but inbound SIP calls never reach the agent. Observed behavior Telecom provider sends SIP INVITE to LiveKit LiveKit responds with
100 Processing
No room is created No agent job is created • No
received job request
logs appear • Call eventually times out on the provider side Details • Inbound DID: +918071387150 • LiveKit SIP URI: 3bdq2zu15gd.sip.livekit.cloud • Region: India West • Agent name: outbound-caller What we have verified Inbound SIP trunk is configured correctly • Dispatch rule type is Individual • Room prefix is empty • Number filtering is removed • Agent is running and registered • SIP transport is UDP • Provider confirms INVITE is sent and acknowledged by LiveKit This strongly suggests that Inbound SIP → Agents routing is not enabled for our project or there is an issue with inbound SIP dispatch in our account. Request Please: 1. Confirm whether inbound SIP routing to Agents is enabled for our project 2. Enable it if currently disabled 3. Or advise if this feature requires plan changes or manual activation Thank you for your support. Regards, Shikhar Verma

I see you have a trunk with name
inboundvobiztesting
with phone numbers as follows:
Copy code
"numbers": [
    "+918071387150",
    "8071387150"
  ],
Can you delete the second one, so you only have the +91... and try again? We previously had issues with this kind of "duplicate" entry and I suspect this is the issue. If that doesn't resolve the issue, are there any provider logs or pcap from your provider, which I think is Plivo in your case?
b
i have already tried both the ways, and my telecom is https://vobiz.ai/
Sir, no luck..same issue.. I have configured voice ai agent using livekit and agent and prompts are configured in a separate ubuntu aws. Inobund trunk: { "sipTrunkId": "ST_3rC9pBD4JQUD", "name": "inboundvobiztesting", "numbers": [ "+918071387150" ], "allowedAddresses": [ "0.0.0.0/0" ] } Dispatch rule: { "sipDispatchRuleId": "SDR_cHHRManbrh3w", "rule": { "dispatchRuleIndividual": {} }, "trunkIds": [ "ST_3rC9pBD4JQUD" ], "name": "vobizdispatch", "roomConfig": { "agents": [ { "agentName": "outbound-caller" } ] } }
I have also tested with Plivo, and both inbound and outbound calls are working fine. Is there anything else required at Livekit end..
I got this reply from Vobiz:
We sent the call to livekit and they responded with 100 processing. But no response thereafter..
Check the screenshot..
l
Ah, so this is specifically for Vobiz? I don't have experience but I see this old comment: https://livekit-users.slack.com/archives/C05L395US9L/p1760177975816929 Maybe worth pinging the OP of that comment. It looks like he might have shared some docs with us, but I have never seen those.
b
Thank you Darryn..
r
Do you see the inbound call on your LiveKit dashboard? Can we get a PCAP and/or the call-id for a failed call. The call flow is nice but it missing most of the information we need to see.
b
I dont see any inbound calls in livekit, only outbound calls are coming there...
r
Can you share the Call ID and PCAP from your SIP provider so we can look it up.
b
For Inbound, how to get the call ID? for Outbound i can give you the call ID SCL_PQL7h3DoTNtW
image.png
r
You can find it in the PCAP from your SIP provider or possibly on their dashboard somwhere. That is best asked of your SIP provider
So
SCL_PQL7h3DoTNtW
is an example of the issue you are having?
That is to a different number than the one you listed above
b
SCL_PQL7h3DoTNtW
this is for the outbound call, which is working fine...issue is with inbound call...same number we are using for both inbound and outbound... I have messaged to my telecom providers to give the details: ""Can you share the Call ID and PCAP from your SIP provider so we can look it up"
this is the number provided by vobiz +918071387150
r
They don't provide PCAP from a dashboard? Or any log details?
I have a feeling the INVITE is comming in with
to: <PHONE_NUM>@IP
instead of using your SIP URI. But we need to PCAP to verify that
b
got this one from telecom provider
r
Why does the
to
have
@IP
instead of
@YOUR_SIP_URI

b
OK, let me check this with my telecom provider..
Check what Vikas is saying..he is from Vobiz
r
We require the SIP URI
b
Ok
Vikas is saying.."Ok, will update it then"
You mean this one, for my case "3bdq2zu15gd.sip.livekit.cloud"
r
I see there they specific to use the URI
@nutritious-receptionist-94656 FYI
b
i think there is some issue from Vobiz side
👍🏼 1
Because,earlier i had tried with other telecom like Plivo, viva..both inbound and outbound was working smoothly...
r
This looks like a config issue to me. But ok. I've not set that up before so I am not familiar with it.
But I did review their doc above before and it looks correct to me.
b
Ok
I am using livekit dashboard and my agent/prompts are running on a separate ubuntu aws system..
r
ok. That is not really related to your current issue.
Once the agent answers that will matter
b
yes, i am just telling you my setup..

r
Currently it is a SIP trunk configuration issue.
b
Vobiz team is working on it

r
I think they are pretty familiar with LiveKit so I think you should be good to go once they are done.
b
Yes, thank you for your support.
