• Raise min_interruption_duration (e.g., 0.6s) to ignore very brief interruptions.
• Set min_interruption_words to 2 (or >1) so single-word interjections are ignored.
• Enable a semantic turn-detection model (instead of only VAD) so the session uses language cues to decide end-of-turn.
• Disable automatic resume for false interruptions or set a false_interruption_timeout (e.g., 2.0s) so the agent won’t immediately re-enter speaking mode on spurious inputs.
Example snippet
session = AgentSession(
min_endpointing_delay=1.0,
min_interruption_duration=0.6,
min_interruption_words=2,
resume_false_interruption=False,
false_interruption_timeout=2.0,
# optionally: turn_detection=MultilingualModel(), vad=...
)
Quick diagnostics I can help with
• Do you have STT enabled? If not, min_interruption_words won’t help.
• Can you share current values for these session settings or a short trace of one stuck interaction?
Tell me which diagnostics you can run or share current settings and I’ll suggest tuned values for your traffic pattern.
