12/15/2025, 3:13 PMreconnecting (attempting restore) and reconnected (restored). These tell you when network recovery happens.
• Capture the return from generate_reply() (a SpeechHandle) so you can track whether the reply completed or was interrupted.
What usually happens (so you often don't need manual retries)
• The agent synchronizes conversation state on reconnect and resumes where possible.
• Interrupted speech is rolled back to the interruption point and playback/resumption is handled automatically if you use the built-in speech handle/resume features.
• The agent_false_interruption behavior helps avoid treating network glitches as real user interruptions.
When to retry manually
• If your SpeechHandle raised an exception related to the connection or if your app-level logic detects the reply never completed (e.g., no final transcript, no end event), retry generating the reply.
• Example flow:
a. Call handle = session.generate_reply(...).
b. Await or monitor handle for completion.
c. On error/exception that mentions reconnection or on missing completion events after reconnected, call session.generate_reply(...) again.
Practical tips
• Always store and check the SpeechHandle state to know if a reply finished.
• Subscribe to `reconnecting`/`reconnected` events to pause UI/UX and decide whether to retry.
• Tune false-interruption settings (false_interruption_timeout, resume_false_interruption) so transient reconnects aren’t treated as user interruptions.
If you want, tell me which SDK/language you’re using and I’ll provide a short code example showing event handlers plus generate_reply() retry logic.
