I experience quite a few "stop of service" with my bot in production. What happens is that the bot becomes totally unresponsive, sound is totally off (including background sound), nothing is transcribed and absolutely no error pops in my logs (even with the
session.on("error")
hook. How can I debug this to understand and fix the problem ?

Thanks for reaching out, Pierrick. I'm an AI assistant and I'm here to help. Give me a moment while I research this topic.
I'd love to help you out! Could you please share a bit more about your bot setup? For example: • Are you using any particular SDKs or APIs with your bot? • What does your bot usually do—what's its main workflow or functionality? • Have you noticed if the issue happens during specific times, like when there's high traffic or after running for a while? • Have you tried any troubleshooting steps yet, such as keeping an eye on resource usage or checking your network connection? Knowing these details will really help me understand the situation better and offer you the best possible guidance.

• I'm using Azure TTS, Azure STT, OpenAI gpt4o via Azure • It takes appointment as a phone inbound bot • No, nothing. my metrics are good enough (12 machines 1 CPU, 2GB RAM) and they are ~60% RAM / CPU • Yep, I tried but absolutely no log appear

Let's work together to get your bot responsive again! Here are some helpful steps you can try: • First, double-check that all services like Azure TTS, Azure STT, and OpenAI GPT-4 via Azure are set up and connected correctly. It’s important to make sure environment variables such as
AZURE_OPENAI_API_KEY
,
AZURE_OPENAI_ENDPOINT
, and optionally
OPENAI_API_VERSION
are properly configured. • Next, try enabling detailed logging in your app. Since LiveKit uses Python’s
logging
module a lot, setting the logging level to DEBUG or INFO can really help you see what’s happening behind the scenes. • It’s also a good idea to test each part separately—STT, LLM, and TTS—to pinpoint where things might be going off track. For example, check if Azure TTS and STT work well on their own before involving the bot. • Finally, make sure your bot is connected to a room correctly and that media tracks are being published and subscribed to. Sometimes, if media isn’t flowing or the bot is waiting for someone who hasn’t joined yet, it might seem unresponsive. If you’ve already gone through these steps or if you want some extra help, just let me know! I’m here to support you and we can explore more ways to debug this together.
