Thank you for reaching out! I understand that the slower response time you're noticing on LiveKit Cloud with the Build plan can be a bit frustrating. This usually happens because of agent cold starts—on the Build plan, agents are shut down after each session, so when a new session starts, it can take around 10–20 seconds to get them up and running again. This is why you don’t see this delay when running locally, where the agent stays active all the time.
If you’re looking for a smoother, quicker experience, upgrading to a paid plan like Ship or Scale could really help. These plans keep agents warm and ready to go, so you won’t have to wait for those cold starts. If having low-latency responses is important for your work, I’d definitely recommend considering an upgrade. Please feel free to ask if you’d like more details or help with this!
