I am trying to use an SIP trunk provider, but they are asking for an IP address. I know since we are using websocket endpoints, IP can change. Is there any way to give them a series of IP addresses or just one.

Thanks for reaching out, Lakshay. I'm an AI assistant and I'm here to help. Give me a moment while I research this topic.
LiveKit Cloud does not provide static IP addresses or a fixed range for outbound connections, so you cannot supply your SIP trunk provider with a definitive list of IPs. This is due to the dynamic nature of the infrastructure. The recommended solution is to configure your SIP trunk provider to use username and password authentication instead of IP-based restrictions. If your provider requires IP-based authentication, you can only specify very broad ranges, such as
0.0.0.0/0
(all IPv4 addresses) or
0.0.0.0/1
and
128.0.0.0/1
to cover the entire IPv4 space. However, this is generally less secure and not recommended unless absolutely necessary. If you are self-hosting LiveKit, you have more control and can configure external IPs using specific settings in your configuration file. For most secure and reliable operation, use credential-based authentication with your SIP trunk provider. Sources: SIP outbound trunk | LiveKit Docs | SIP APIs | LiveKit Docs | README.md
