now im creating a project via livekit-cli and keys in my cloud project and getting a 401. tried copy and paste and manual entry
and:
Starting to think livekit-cli has not been updated against the latest livekit. Or does not work against Cloud
n
oops i forgot that how we roll 🙂
d
it should work. have you tried using it without sudo?
n
Yes both fail unless you are explicitlky root
tried in debian, ubuntu and arch
d
ah yes.. sudo is required.. it's unclear why mv is failing.. maybe /usr/local/bin doesn't exist?
n
it does exist. tried with passwd and nopasswd. all have that mv fail
d
that's really odd.. the script is here. it basically does a
mv "${TEMP_DIR_PATH}/livekit-cli" "${INSTALL_PATH}/livekit-cli"
n
Im not a bash pro. However, does sudo encapsulate all commands running within a script? only thing i can think of top of my head
d
yup it does...
which version of debian did you try with?
let me try to repro
n
ok
it was deb12
d
got it.. ok I see the issue now.. the | bash part.. is the one that needs sudo

the pipe makes it lose perms.. let me see if we can handle this in a more automated way
n
aH 🙂
