Would it be possible to discuss this issue here? I tried to find the mentioned logs in the code to no avail so far. I know, this problem is just caused by Android, which doesn't allow to operate on some low level APIs anymore, but I would like to find some work around here to make it run on Android >= 11. The root cause is this https://developer.android.com/training/articles/user-data-ids#mac-11-plus but maybe it is possible to isolate the functions, which rely on that and try to work around?
...and I know, it has nothing to do with LK and PION, but maybe you can help me to find the places, where the above logs are generated
Looks like it boils down to a handful of functions in PION WebRTC (most likely webrtc/peerconnection.go), which fail under Android due to the permission problems. Opened a discussion there: https://github.com/pion/webrtc/discussions/2636
May I try to raise this again? This is the one and only blocker for me to jump on the LiveKit train. But there is no movement in this matter. My abilities to investigate here are limited. I also don’t have the contacts into the GO or GOMOBILE community. But as a matter of fact: GOMOBILE and LiveKit or Pion is a NOGO for Android >= 10 and that’s a bummer, IMHO
Finally there is a solution for this. PRs to PION need to be done yet, but there is some hope. https://github.com/pion/webrtc/issues/2640 A lot of post, mostly caused by my GO stupidness, but Android >= 11 permission issue with PION is gone. I hope LifeKit will adopt the new PION version, once it is out

awesome! Is it just disabling mDNS? If so you can do it without patching Pion, simply by disabling it here.

I will forward this comment to suutaku, who did the main work. But maybe that would work too, following this comment https://github.com/pion/webrtc/issues/2640#issuecomment-1874215840 EDIT: PS I wouldn't know from where to issue this setting anyway
Plot twist: It is not necessary to patch PION ice and transport. It is sufficient to apply this PR to GOLANG https://github.com/golang/go/pull/61089. Did that on a 1.21.5 source compilation. https://github.com/pion/webrtc/issues/2640#issuecomment-1877116650
