Which client are you using? Can you please elaborate on what you mean by 1.
musicstereoaudio
2. double audio - who is hearing double audio and what are the two audios? Is one participant heard multiple times by other remote participants?
n
1) musicstereoaudio is there in hifi audio provided by livekit 2) participants are hearing double audio
It’s not occuring at all times In between conversations it is observed at some random times that the audio is recieved two time or we can say an echo is there
p
are you referring to this guide? It advises to turn off echoCancellation, which makes sense for high quality audio, but you will hear echoes more often if your users don’t use headphones and have their mic enabled. That is a tradeoff you’ll have to live with unfortunately. If it’s important to your application, try setting echoCancellation to
true
and see if that improves things without compromising on audio quality too much
n
I did set echo cancellation to true here But still facing same issue
p
hm. the demo code snippet in that guide doesn’t prevent publishing the same track twice. You should probably handle that in your application. Can you check whether the audio track is in fact only published once when this issue occurs? for example you can log
localParticipant.audioTracks
on the publisher side
n
I’ll check So if i remove hifi audio i might not face this issue tho right? Highpassfilter true isn’t the cause here then?

You’re in the best position to check for all these variants, as you can reproduce the issue. If you find a certain combination doesn’t work and/or breaks echoCancellation it would be great if you could share that with us so that we can include this in the guide

Sure
