Technically no. There are some limitations mainly related to timing and slower consumers. While reliable data channel is reliable over the wire, there are two challenges • A participant joining the room later will not get already sent messages. So, from a file transfer perspective, that won't be perfect. • If one of the consumers has a network with low down link capacity, that user will be receiving messages slower (for a file transfer, the sender could be sending it fast as much as its up link would allow). That could cause drops (it is a reliable data channel, but there are limits to buffering and in the extreme case, a significant mismatch between publisher and subscriber could cause buffer overflows/drops). And there is also this challenge of file meta data like described in this example - https://webrtc.github.io/samples/src/content/datachannel/filetransfer/. Effectively, you would need to make your own protocol to ensure all this happens over data channel (meta data exchange, late arriving users getting partial files, flow control to ensure no overflows (might need ACK from the receiver))
