What platform are you testing on? Does MediaRecorder do any coding? If so, what are the settings for this encoding?
s
MediaRecorder doesn't provide any encoding options in Flutter SDK. https://github.com/flutter-webrtc/flutter-webrtc/blob/main/lib/src/media_recorder.dart#L5 I can only provide some options during local track creation. Here is how I do it
Copy code
localVideoTrack = await LocalVideoTrack.createCameraTrack(
        CameraCaptureOptions(
          cameraPosition: state.cameraPosition == 0 ? CameraPosition.front : CameraPosition.back,
          maxFrameRate: 20,
          params: VideoParametersPresets.h360_169,
        )
      );
@gorgeous-room-99068 I was testing video recording on Android device. But the platforms of interest for me are Android and iOS devices.

@silly-train-16715 in this issue (https://github.com/flutter-webrtc/flutter-webrtc/issues/666) lib developer says that
MediaRecorder is currently not stable and not recommended for use in a production environment.
So you should debug android implementation of this feature by yourself.
I am currently working on implementing RemoteVideoTrack recording for Android and haven't seen a complete solution yet, so I am trying to make one.

@gorgeous-room-99068 I'm currently using MediaRecorder for video recording only (without audio track) and it seems to work fine. But after reading the issue I may switch to some other solution. Thanks for pointing that out.
@gorgeous-room-99068 have you tried Egress for video recording? I am not aware of your use case but If you need something like that in your project it may be a way to go. Also instead of payed S3 you can host your own S3 emulation using MinIO.

@silly-train-16715 Currently, the priority is to implement recording only on the client, but we consider Egress as an alternative.
