Regarding h.264 if volume is low (less than 100k units per year) no license fees but with AAC another story. I'm using participant egress with segmented and looks like it always uses h264 + aac due to mpeg-2 container format. Just wounder if it's possible to mux it with mp3 format which is free or it's can be possible to segment other container formats which can include vp8 and opus

that's a good idea to support MP3 in addition
