are you using expo?
g
We transitioned from Expo to CLI before integrating Livekit. Consequently, we configured Livekit based on the CLI documentation provided in the official documentation and not Expo
e
do you have a full stack trace of the error?
g
Honestly, I’m unsure about the cause of this error. During development, everything worked as expected. However, upon pushing my app to TestFlight or generating the APK, nothing functioned correctly on both iOS and Android. I’ve verified that the error doesn’t stem from the URL or token; they appear to be correct. I can provide more information if you like
maybe the error comes from server side? the backend dev is using NestJS and might he need to change something when pushing on production?
e
you can try console.log(err.stack) or console.trace()

g
Alright, I’ll do it
for err.stack I got
'TypeError: undefined is not a function\n at anonymous (address at index.android.bundle:1:3775456)\n at call (native)\n...
e
are there any other logs in logcat (don’t use react-native logs as it omits native logs)
g
no, there’s no logs related to the error
e
would it be possible to make a small project that reproduces the error? can’t repro on my end
g
Hello sir... I found the error coming from this line
await room.localParticipant.setMicrophoneEnabled(true);
When I remove this line from
connect()
function as I mentioned above, the application connect with success but I can’t turn on the mic or the camera so on this line
Copy code
await room.localParticipant
        .setMicrophoneEnabled(true)
        .catch((error: any) =>
          console.log('################ turn on mic error', error),
        );
I got
[TypeError: undefined is not a function]
