@freezing-lifeguard-43174 any ideas? You’re using LiveKit Cloud, right? If you DM me your project’s WS URL and your test results, I can look up these sessions and we can investigate
s
Hi @acoustic-engineer-41666. Yes, I'm using cloud. Let me make translations of the results they provided to English and I'll send them to you. Maybe I will even add corresponding session URLs.

@silly-train-16715 are you using VP9 by any chance? (when you tried 1.5.2)
s
@dry-elephant-14928 default settings.
Don't change any toggles
d
what does that mean? you are reproducing this with the example app with default settings?
s
Yes. That's exactly what I wrote in the original post.
d
got it, please provide any details that you have regarding session links/etc. we will take a look
s
Hi @dry-elephant-14928. I DM-ed them to Noah Tye.

hey @silly-train-16715, I found some phenomena in today’s test using 1.5.x. When using cloud android can publish h (360p) and q (180p) layer, when using mac app to subscribe, q layer (180p) is usually selected. Logically speaking, it should h (360p) layer will be automatically selected, Can this correspond to the issue you are facing? Resolution looks low
I believe I have fixed this issue (mac app can maintain 720p 30fps subscription throughout, It also jumps to 360p briefly, but I feel it’s much better than before.😀), @silly-train-16715 please try this branch to verify, https://github.com/livekit/client-sdk-flutter/pull/393

Hi @freezing-lifeguard-43174. I hope to check this by the end of the week.
Also, @freezing-lifeguard-43174. I have noticed something strange. I'm not sure if it is related to the discussion in this thread but maybe it will be helpful for you. I've implemented stats logging to InfluxDB a while ago and today there was a call with 2 participants (both have iPhone 15). I don't have feedback from them yet but I can see that there were multiple reconnects for one of the participants. Here is a link of session https://cloud.livekit.io/projects/p_519ctfqf1bf/sessions/RM_Tfbh6pkHd3cz I looked at my logs and it looks like the published low quality layer is lower or almost at the same level (by bitrate) as the medium one for one of the participants (first two images), while for the other participant it jumps very hight (higher then low quality layer) most of the time. Not sure if it happens very frequently. Just to remind, this info is gotten from the app build with my custom livekit flutter SDK (forked starting at 1.3.3 version).
