have you checked adb logcat? there should be some indication of crash logs there
e
i guess i got it
e
hmm, seems unrelated to our code? we don’t use the androidx startup libraries.
e
it seems because i'm using java 11
but i get compiling issue when using java 8, so i decided to using java 11
@eager-raincoat-52616 could you help me on which java i should using & which version of kotlin ? thank you
e
I can’t really help here, this seems to be a problem with the androidx startup library rather than livekit. you can try looking at the android developer site for details. there’s this page that might help: https://developer.android.com/build/jdks

@eager-raincoat-52616 thank you for your support, can i ask one more question, is the android sdk available in java version instead of kotlin ? on my side, the gradle is too low for supporting kotlin, i'm getting alot of compiling issue. But it's depend on our cocos version so i can't upgrade gradle
e
We don't offer a pure java version, sorry
e
@eager-raincoat-52616 finally, i decide to rollback to java8, i managed to implement kotlin 1.3.72 on my side (that's max version i can support). There's some dependencies that requires higher kotlin version (we're using livekit-android:1.1.10) so i decide to force them all using kotlin 1.3.72. Now i can complile the app and open it without crashing. Let's see if sdk work or not.
hi @eager-raincoat-52616, could you have a look on this error ? sorry, i'm new to kotlin, it appears when i call Livekit create
i guess the sdk is not compatible with kotlin 1.3.72, seems can't integrate android sdk with cocos creator :(
