I am using the default values. It should be h264.

@enough-boots-69343 please verify.
e
I checked.
d
are you using adaptive stream?
on mobile devices, we recommend it so that the device isn't pulling/decoding so many high resolution video tiles at the same time
e
It was closed, I'll open it and try. thanks
@dry-elephant-14928 Adaptive stream has been on for two days. But the problem is the same, iPhone devices warn that they are overheating.
d
I would suggest running your app in profile mode to see what is consuming CPU

we haven't seen cases where decoding H.264 or VP8 would cause overheating.. they are pretty inexpensive to decode (should be able to do 9 concurrent decodes on screen without a problem)
e
I've never used CPU profiler before. How should this screen be interpreted?
n
I saw a case where running VP8 on iOS caused over heating on another platform, because VP8 is software based on iOS. iOS has H264 hardware encoder/decoder.
e
Since I don't have any special codecs, I use H264 anyway.
n
so, it is weird to have over-heating on iOS
