Yeah it would auto stop after the room closes. (which happens when the last participant leaves)

emptyTimeout is only applied before participants join. In the case of room closing, it should happen immediately (as long as the last participant called

disconnect

instead of abruptly terminating the connection) I would suggest giving it a try to see if the current behavior matches your needs. If it doesn't, you can always fork the template to control the specific recording behavior
