Also just to add into this, This issue is only occurring if I make can_publish: false. It isnt happening if any of the other values are false...
Also I have checked and enable_remote_unmute: true is in my livekit.yaml
d
Hey @delightful-kilobyte-81039, could you give me a step by step on what the issue is and what the expected behavior is?
d
Ya sure, Basically I made a participantWidget list which stores all the participants which I display in a grid on my flutter app. (This is in reference to the Sample FLutter code) Now basically the issue is that whenever I call the updatePermission API the user gets removed from the list of participantsWidgets
Which I guess shouldn't be the case right?
d
It's a bit hard to follow if there's logic inside of your app. What will be helpful for us to understand is using the example app, a step by step of what you did and how the result doesn't match expectations
d
Ya so in the example app, I started a meeting normally, which had a admin and some participants. then I update the permissions of any of the participants to can_publish: false after this, the participant gets hidden from the meeting screen. i.e. he is in the meeting but isnt shown to other people...
Hi @dry-elephant-14928 any updates?
d
So when the user cannot publish.. all previous tracks will be unpublished. That will explain why you won't see them in the example app: the example app only shows publishers
you should check room.participants. all of the participants would still be there
d
Got It . Thank for your help sir🙏
