self-hosted livekit is a single-tenant service. you cannot create subdomains. config is the only way to set API keys with self-hosted server. they are not scoped. with the integrated TURN service, it's will automatically configure clients to use dynamic credentials.

Thank you, that was helpful. I had TURN query, due to open issue in git - Issue#1786 Dynamic Turn credentials. From above response, what I understand is to add or delete API key:secret pair, we need to change config file and redeploy the LiveKit server. It cannot be achieved at runtime. Or is the server dynamically listening to config changes?

Ah yes I see where the confusion is coming from. That issue is regarding third-party TURN services. The embedded one should just work Re: API keys, it'll have to be redeployed. Though it'd be a solid improvement to support config reloading!

Thanks, glad to hear that embedded TURN are capable to be used of creating and providing short lived credentials to client. Yes, config reloading, may not in all but certain case will be solid improvement.
