One way I could figure out is to use Delete Room API. How would I give "RoomCreate" permission in the token? Couldn't Find something helpful here https://docs.livekit.io/concepts/authentication/
d
yah, if you delete the room, it'll end it for everyone. currently this API is to be accessed with our server SDK, which should be running from your backend
d
Thanks.
Also, suppose I have to add this enable_remote_unmute: true where should I add it given that an Instance is already created?
d
If self-hosting, you'd have to add it in livekit-config.yaml. If using Cloud, it would be in your project settings.
d
Where would I find livekit-config.yaml in my AWS EC2Instance?
Sorry, I guess I missed something. I installed livelit on AWS by the cloud init script and never knew about livekit-config.yaml. Please tell me where to find it..
Can It be the case that I never created one? And if so... where would I create it
after I bit of searching, I could find this is livekit.yaml same as livekit-config.yaml?
d
yeah! it is. You can customize the settings in the init script prior to running it
d
can't I just add those lines in this file?
d
yeah, the init script bundles in livekit-config.yaml. You should be able to find a section denoted livekit config, content should match this file
d
Yup the livekit.yaml file in the above image has similar content. I will just enter administrator mode and add Room: enable_remote_unmute: true And restart the livekit sdk Kindly confirm if this is correct....
@dry-elephant-14928 sorry for tagging without notice. If you could just please confirm if the above process is correct, I could proceed on with it...
Hi, please tell if the steps mentioned are correct so that I would be confident that I am not screwing up the instance🥲 The steps are - In the livekit.yaml file which has similar content as you mentioned, I will just enter administrator mode and add Room: enable_remote_unmute: true And restart the livekit sdk Correct right?
d
Yes, that sounds right. Please give it a try. Don't worry about screwing anything up.. you can always revert the change if it's incorrect. Sorry I'm unable to answer every thread in a timely manner.
