do you have the ports opened on the firewall?
f
As far as i can see, load balancer do not have any firewall
d
WebRTC connections cannot go through the load balancer.. the load balancer should only front port 7880.
Have you already gone through the ports docs here? https://docs.livekit.io/oss/deployment/ports-firewall/
f
Yes I have gone through the documentation, I can just see http and https listener on my load balancer… am i doing something wrong here?
d
I'm not following your question.. the ports indicated in the docs have to be exposed on the livekit instances themselves. it's not possible to load balance UDP ports
f
All the ports have been exposed on EC2 instances. When i try to run them without a load balancer everything works fine but when i installed a load balancer udp requests are not going forward. I checked for fireaall, there is no firewall installed at the moment (WAF)
I am still using Application load balancer because I meed to use a domain name with SSL
d
which ports are you load balancing?
f
80 and 443 (http and https)
only these i can balance in application load balancer
d
livekit signal port is running on 7880.. is that what you are load balancing?
f
yes, load balancer receives a request on 443 it forwards the http request to port 7880 in EC2
this is the url, it returns OK from livekit, it is behind a load balancer
d
ah ok, can you generate a token for me so I can try it?
feel free to DM me
f
Sure give me a moment
DM'd you
