What client platform are you using?
e
Android and IOS
f
ok i will try to investigate
e
thanks
f
yeah, we have a PR WIP about fixing video blur on iOS, maybe this issue will be resolved soon
e
Excellent. Will it have an impact for Android?
f
yeah, don’t worry, we’ll look into it android and try to fix it
d
a large factor here is your hosting provider, how much the machines are utilized, and how far the users are from the server. can you reproduce this with LiveKit Cloud?
e
Servers have 3 vCpu 4 GB Ram 10Gbps internet speed. Servers are too close to the country where the broadcasters are located. They share the same country border. The blurring problem can also occur when there is 1 broadcast and 2 viewers, so there is no need for an excessive number of users. If it is still not resolved after @freezing-lifeguard-43174's fix, we will focus on the server side.

Is there a fix for Android? Is there a version I can test?
d
hmm no, this issue was related to iOS.
e
@dry-elephant-14928 @freezing-lifeguard-43174 Would a low maxBitrate cause this problem?
d
are you still seeing this on the latest version of the SDK?
e
yes, In some android users, the face of the person is almost never clear.
d
this looks like a bitrate issue
e
We will test again when the problem in the link is resolved. https://livekit-users.slack.com/archives/C01KVTJH6BX/p1686945675600479
