this is odd, I see plenty of examples of folks using code blocks, emojis, even embedding videos... How do I do that though here? Also if I copy an image and paste it here it also doesn't seem to work... Any advice?

You can use a single or three backticks for code:

foo

bar

You can include images or videos either by pasting in a url directly into the message.
