Hi team๐Ÿ‘‹ I understand that this might be technically difficult given Lightdash's architecture, but Iโ€™d like to share some feature requests regarding chart sorting that we really hope to see!lightdash circle 1. Sorting Stacked Bar Charts by "Total" Currently, the sort logic applies to individual segments (the grouping column) rather than the whole bar, which results in the X-axis not being ordered by the total height of the stack. It would be extremely helpful to have an option to sort the X-axis by the Stack Total directly. (We know we can use Window functions, but we want a more intuitive way for business users.) 2. Sorting by Specific Columns in Pivot Tables Users often want to sort rows based on a specific dynamic column in a Pivot Table (e.g., "Sort by sales in 2024-01"). It would be great if clicking a specific pivot column header triggered a sort based on that column's value. We do have workarounds, but I wanted to submit this as a Feature Request since we've received feedback from our internal users, and I also feel these would be valuable improvements.๐Ÿ™

๐Ÿ‘‹ Thanks for your message - someone from the Lightdash support team will get back to you asap. Feel free to add any additional context to the thread here in the meantime (screenshots, app version if you're self-hosting etc.).

Hi Shota! Hopefully I can help with these. 1. We do have an option for this - it's in the chart configure page in the Axes tab. For non time based dimensions, you can sort by 'bars ascending' or 'bars descending'. Let me know if you have any questions there! 2. This makes a lot of sense to me - I made a feature request here: https://github.com/lightdash/lightdash/issues/18789. If there is anything you would like to add please leave a comment there. Thanks for leaving these requests, they really help us prioritise what to work on!

@Oliver Ramsay I completely overlooked that option! That works perfectly. Thanks a lot๐Ÿ™ And thank you for opening the issue for the second requestโ€”I appreciate your help with that too!
