we have a fairly odd bug, we set our database host to this: (for prod/staging we hydrate it differently) but when I pull it in localhost there is what appears to be a "shared override" that overrides it
s
Hi Greg, can you please send additional messages in a single thread instead of at the root channel moving forward? Thanks! shared values are not overrides, but the base value, it would say personal if the value was being overridden. Have you verified the project you are pulling from locally is the same as the screenshot?
g
yes
it's the same
the ID is the same
s
was the value at one point ever what you're seeing locally? or is that value present in the project?
g
it is as far as I can tell not present
I believe someone set it as their local
but not me
however everyone sees it as their local value
unless they override it
s
do you happen to have a pro plan to check the version history?
g
the version history has never been anything but localhost
can I DM you our project ID?
p
Hi Greg, I'm taking this over. I'll investigate what's happening.
g
thank you
any update?
p
Hi Greg! We could not reproduce this on our end, Could you share how you are pulling those secrets? Are you using our CLI? If so, can you share the CLI version as well?
Could you also share the secret type you see when you run
infisical secrets
 when pointing to that project?
g
I see it in the CLI when I pull it
and I see "shared"
p
Hi @Greg Meyer, I kept trying to reproduce this issue, but could not do it. Do you have more details on it? Do you know if the value you are seeing was set by someone else as their personal value? Any details here would help trying to debug this issue.
g
it seems like it was likely set by someone
look at this point I don't really care how the bug happened, this shadow value has been there for a long time
can you just remove it?
d
Hi @Greg Meyer, can you please share the project ID, environment slug, and the secret path where the secret exists in?
g
yes
I replied to your DM lets just have a meeting?
@Daniel Hougaard can you met today
hello?
@Daniel Hougaard @Scott (Infisical)

Hi @Greg Meyer, we never managed to reproduce this on our side. However, we think we found the issue and we are working on a fix. Will let you know once the fix is merged and deployed.
@Greg Meyer we released a new version in US and EU, could you check if the problem persists?
