I'm not able to enable the "CI settings" toggle in Merge Queue settings for a repo with no branch protection rules, no rulesets, and no org rulesets. Is there something else I need to do?

This is in settings, not a PR, and happens every time and also affects other repos.

hey matthew, can you add the branch ruleset or the classic branch protection in the repo based off our doc and then see if you're able to toggle this on?

I think the default is to not block things but I tried anyways and it still doesn't work. I tried "Exempt" and "Always allow"

its my 5th day here at graphite so i'm still learning the ins and outs of things. instead of using the Github Branch Rulesets, you should use the

classic branch protection rule

. check allow specific actors to bypass required PRs and add the graphite-app. from there, go to the graphite settings and you should be able to enable CI settings. our team is aware about the issue with Github Branch Rulesets and are currently working on a fix.
