i think there is a bug with the merge UI where the button does not match the default selected option? i tried to merge this PR to a branch other than the

branch (our default branch in github), to test our hotfix deployment. the target branch was set to

hotfix

, which is set to only allow squash merge in a github ruleset when i first opened the merge modal, the selected merge strategy was "Squash and merge", but the button was saying "Rebase and merge". just in case the button text was wrong and it was using the selected option, i tried clicking "Rebase and merge button" while the selected merge strategy was "Squash and merge", and it fails saying that rebase is not allowed (as it should) i had to change the selected merge strategy from squash and merge to rebase and merge, and then back to squash and merge for it to update the button, and then it worked fine. https://app.graphite.com/github/pr/lawyai/lawy/3112
