I have an automation that requests all reviewers on my team when all CI checks pass, but it occasionally just doesn't request some of the listed team members in the action config. Here is an example of a PR that requested 2/3 people listed in my automation. This is very annoying because we rely on this automation to ensure as we can get as many eyes on PRs as possible. Is this intended functionality of this automation action or a bug?

Just to you or others on your team also? - Is this a regression? Is the problem new? - If you're having an issue with the CLI, please send us debug logs using

hey Nolan, if you check the PR's activity logs in GitHub do you see the entry for those reviewers being added, and one of the reviewers simultaneously being removed?

Yes, I see exactly that

gotcha, this has root caused to a sporadic error on GitHub's end where GH API adds but then removes the reviewer immediately. We have reported it to GH Support, but it seems to be a long-standing issue they are not prioritizing unfortunately so it can reoccur sporadically.

Thanks for the response, very unfortunate that this is due to a GitHub issue. Is there a public report somewhere I can add my comments to? It's pretty frustrating for my team

no public issue I'm aware of

This might be difficult to implement but would it be possible for the graphite api to detect this problem and automatically retry? Or are there any known workarounds, like somehow getting the automation to run a few times to ensure all reviewers are properly requested? We tried switching to requesting review from a github team including all of us, but this didn't work since it automatically removes everyone else on the team once anyone approves.
