gt get
does not currently handle all cases awhere the branch was updated both locally and remotely exactly as we would like it to, and we are working on getting it to that place before adding its functionality to
gt sync

Hi, thank you for the great news! Just one question, will
gt checkout
get able to checkout the remote branch that aren't checked out locally yet in my machine? Being
gt get
requires the pre-knowledge of the exact name of the branch I would like to work on is such a pain point for me (especially considering that branch names are sometimes auto generated). At least in the meantime, if running
gt get
without params shows the interactive list of the all the branches that can be checked out (much like what
gt checkout
does now for local branches) it would be much helpful to check out other's branches and get engaged to it.

After we are the point where `get`'s behavior into sync, we'll also consider rolling it into
checkout
for branches you do not have locally. As for providing a list/typeahead of branches available to get, it's something that will probably be further down the line, but definitely something we'd like to build

That's wonderful. Thank you for the detailed explanation (I hope I didn't accidentally interrupted your sleep, though.). Have a nice day 🙂

You too! (I have an early flight this morning)
