I don't believe we've ever supported merging PRs into each other — we generally recommend merging from bottom to top

yeah maybe it didn't exist before and i'm imagining things. what do you mean from bottom to top?

Our merge button merges PRs one at a time into your trunk branch — bottom refers to downstack, i.e. the branches closer to trunk
