is that a commit or a branch name?
t
I’m not sure, I let GTI generate it for me
The folder it refers to doesn’t seem to exist
d
i'm pretty sure that's a branch name
👍 1
commits look like
291d03e58c
folders will be real folders
can you provide more context? where is this screenshot from? what were you doing?
what was occurring around it? what steps led you here
also if you go to your terminal, and type
git branch
- what branch does it say you're on?
t
Using GTI, I: 1. created a stack with 3 diffs 2. created a separate diff on trunk 3. rebased the top diff of my stack to trunk 4. (standalone diff from #2 was merged from web UI) 5. clicked the “update everything” button 6. saw this error
The bad branch doesn’t exist anymore after merging. I can switch branches as per usual with
git
commands
d
1. created a stack with 3 diffs
when you say "diffs" you mean "pull requests" right?
t
I didn’t submit them, so they aren’t technically PRs yet
not even drafts
d
ok, branches

t
Let me try
gt repo sync
Same error as GTI
d
what diff is "exclude views from the cohesion check" in terms of your 6 step list above?
hard to tell what's what
t
Sorry, it’s the one from step #2
It’s correct that the branch shouldn’t exist anymore
but something is still looking for it
d
if you're in the stack, could you
gt ls
and paste it (
gt ls | pbcopy
gets it to your clipboard)

Oh interesting
How do I make Graphite forget the deleted branch?
Everything is gucci now
If you tell me how, I’m happy to share any relevant logs that might help you debug to figure out why it happened
d
@Jacob Gold might know how!
t
If it is indeed related to bad escaping of the
/
character, I’m going to run into it again after merging this stack
d
i actually know close to nothing about the CLI or GTI, i was just trying to get more information for the future reader of this thread 🙂
❤️ 1
i don't think shells require escaping
/
though
t
Sure, it was just a guess at “what’s different about this one”
