i have a repro on my end, and also for more fun context, it works on a single line

i was able to see both • start of comment behavior • nuking the whole comment behavior

on the plus side, my work on fixing undo for things like @-mentions is really paying off now

@amonshiz following up, i have a fix in the merge queue, so whenever it rolls all the way to prod it should be fixed!
