This is likely an authentication issue, especially if it's only affecting certain repositories. Any pattern as to which it affects? i.e. repos in specific orgs, public vs. private, etc

Both the repo that’s working and the repo that isn’t working are private repos in the same org.

have any of the repos been renamed since you started working in them?
