Personally this is what I see on github

With which browser and how does the page source look for you? For me it is

and both, Chrome and Firefox properly handle the height attribute.

Well, he didn't say what the source looks for him, maybe GitHub delivers something different, but I'd doubt it 🙂

I do wonder if maybe different extensions are at work here. I can check on desktop in a few, on my phone currently.
