Oops! Solved. Sorry. A good lesson though, to always search. It wasn't the fault of graphite. It's just the git being weird. For those wondering, I switched from https to ssh & set ssh repo uri as the remote url. My account is already setup with ssh. So, it was a ez fix. : )
