Good stuff! Couple questions: 1. Why does Graphite need access to view all files in channels it's been added to? (have concerns about it getting access to unrelated sensitive files) 2. Any ETA on when the app will be reviewed and approved by Slack?

Hi @Oleg Vaskevich thanks for the question! The bot uses file access to support Review-in-Slack — more specifically, it will only read files that it uploads in order to render formatted diff chunks that you can then review inline (see attached screenshot for an example). Unfortunately this is the most granular way for Graphite to access those files using Slack’s permissions. That said, Graphite directly DMs notifications to users so it does not need to be added to any additional channels and does not have access to any files other than its own. We take privacy seriously and hope that works for you and your team!
And we’re working on getting the app approved by Slack, but unfortunately don’t have a definite ETA from them yet and have been told that lead times right now might be multiple weeks or even months. We’ll be sure to update you all once that process is complete!

Got it, thanks for explaining! (For reference, we have a Slack app as well and IIRC it took us 2-3 weeks to get approved)

That's good to know! We'll follow up with them 🙂
