We are (me together with @James Fredley) are in the process of reviving the ElasticSearch-Plugin (https://github.com/grails-plugins/grails-elasticsearch) and making it ready for Grails 7 and beyond.
I have provided 2 additional merge requests and would like to hear your opinion moving forward:
Should we make an updated release for Grails 5/6 and then soon (tm) after that a new major release for Grails 7 or skip the release for 5/6.
I would prefer the former if the release process is streamlined enough to not cost too much time and effort.
Any other thoughts?

I am not a user of the plugin, but my 0.02€ worth is, that you should skip 5, do 6 if it's not a big piece of work, and focus on 7.

With Grails 8 around the corner, I think it would be a waste of resources to publish releases for Grails 5 and 6, unless you know of a good reason to do so.

Well, I do not care about 5, but the current version on the 4.x branch should work on both 5 and 6.
I would like to use it in our Grails 6 application, because update to 7 is currently blocked by two other plugins not available yet:
• https://github.com/gpc/export (working on that)
