@jdaugherty is there any reason why the v7.0.0-M4 was updated multiple times on GitHub? Shouldn't it be M5, M6 etc?

There's a note in the release comments, but yes, we're testing the release process.
ASF only got us credentials on Tuesday so we could start testing the workflow end to end.
A formal discussion thread will occur before we release.

Also, just a formal note in general: What GitHub might show as a "release" and what ASF deems a release are two different things. ASF requires voting on the release, so GitHub picks up on the tag used for the candidate that will be voted on. But if voting fails, that "release" will go away and a different tag (but maybe the same name) will appear for the next round of voting. Once voting is complete, they will become the same thing.
