If you share a scan dump (or create a support ticket with it), we'll have a look
a
Thank you @François Guillot, How can I generate a scan dump?
v
I assume he means a build scan. For doing it ad-hoc, just run with
--scan
.
f
@AG generated a build scan already. I asked for that build scan URL, or better, a scan dump which is obtained by changing the
/s/
part of the build scan URL by
/scan-dump/
This file will allow me to replicate the build scan locally and check its data. The scan dump is sometimes the only way to share a build scan, if the Gradle Enterprise instance where it resides is a private instance. You can DM me the scan dump or the build scan URL if you don’t want to share it with others.
a
Thank you @François Guillot I'll send you a dm
v
Ah, interesting, thanks for the explanation. Can you only do a scan dump from a private GE instance, or also from public scans?
Ah, ok, only server admins can
f
also for public build scans (this is a feature that is activated, even though not really advertised)
v
Yeah, ..., no. You can, we cannot. :-)
f
ah, right, it’s under some creds
🙂
(Xmas break fallout :p)

Small regression here in the code that does the diff and generates that message. Thanks for raising, I’ll make sure this is fixed in the next release
g
This is fixed in Gradle Enterprise
2022.4.2
