René, out of curiosity, why do you need 7.6.1? I'm stuck on 7.5 because 7.6 increases heap pressure too much

we stuck with 7.5 because of this: https://github.com/gradle/gradle/issues/23067

7.6.1 will be released after 8.0 is released.

@Louis Jacomet any word on whether the memory issues are going to be resolved?

We have to solve them, they are also blocking 8.0 GA tbh.

hi, is there an issue on Gradle issue tracker related to those memory leaks? We probably must downgradle because of that, and I want to check if this is the case for sure
