My 2ct: Included builds are for substituting binary dependencies. Something that you could also publish to a repository and use from there instead. So if you want to use something from the included build, then make it published as proper variant and you should be able to use it. Depending on a configuration of a project is just a shortcut to be used instead of proper variant publication within a multi-project build, but not cross-builds.
