at https://docs.gradle.org/9.5.0/release-notes.html#upgrade-instructions, I see

./gradlew wrapper --gradle-version=9.5.0 && ./gradlew wrapper

(all the other release notes say this too, but I'm just now commenting on it) I think the task should be specified as

:wrapper

instead (note the

:

). In builds with CoD enabled, specifying the root task means Gradle won't configure the world. But in the approach as described in the release notes, the whole project has to be (unnecessarily) configured. That's a waste of time, especially in larger projects.
