Please do not split topics across several threads. This makes following the conversation in the threads view very hard as the context of the other messages is missing. If you have additional information either edit the original message or post to its thread. Also, don't ping people just because they answered earlier or just because you think they might be able to answer, that is quite rude in open communities unless there is some written rule that allows it or you want something specifically from that person. Regarding your "question", I cannot find any, what do you have problems with?

To respond to a message, just write to it's thread. If you want to address someone personally, a mention is fine, but still within the thread of the message. But you only need that if there are multiple people in the conversation and it is unclear whom you address. :-)
