We have tried to publish a plugin or plugins.gradle.org using the Plugin Publish Plugin and according to the plugin everything was done correctly. This was done a little more then one week ago and we have yet to receive any indication that the plugin has been approved. As far as I can tell we have also not received any email telling us that we have been rejected. Is there a way to confirm that the submission actually went as expected and/or check the status of the plugin (eg. Pending approval, rejected etc)?

On the portal requests repo is an e-mail address where you could write to. But maybe @Louis Jacomet can help.

Hey, If the publication worked, the plugin should have shown in the user page, with a pending validation indication. I know that all pending requests were handled earlier today. If you did not get an answer still, double check your publication. If you still see nothing - either success, pending or error, mail us using
<mailto:plugin-portal-support@gradle.com|plugin-portal-support@gradle.com>

Great thanks, I can not see it in the user page so I guess it was never properly submitted

Maybe there was also some backend problem. Another user at https://discuss.gradle.org/t/how-long-to-expect-before-approval/51949 sounds like approval might take longer as usual. (Or he is just impatient 🤷‍♂️)

Tried to publish using the plugin again and it now shows up immediately on the user page, so I guess it might have been some backend problem. As far as I could remember the plugin showed the same
Thank you. Your new plugin net.mullvad.rust-android has been submitted for approval (...)
both times. Thanks again for all the help. 🙂

@Louis Jacomet We got rejected because our DNS txt record wasn't live, this is now fixed and we applied a third time. There was two causes for this confusion • The plugin portal doesn't tell you of a rejection, it simply removes the plugin from the account. • An email is sent out with the result of the application, however, it was marked as spam by gmail 🙃, so we never saw it the first time. It would be nice if the status of the application could be tracked in the plugin portal, since it was just wiped from the account we started questioning if we even published it in the first place. We use a special company email account for company accounts and only non-spam emails are forwarded to some individuals, so discovery of the rejection wasn't that easy for us.

Hey David, We have been discussing improving the process so that the ownership proof does not require a full reject, as it does right now. But I can't say when we will be able to do this. Regarding the email, I'll forward that users are seeing those as spam, it really should not. Maybe there is some configuration options we can tweak on our end.

👍 just letting you guys know, it was quite confusing. At least we figured out what the problem was 😊

@David Göransson Can you share here or in DM the plugin id? I am checking email headers to see if anything is off.
