Please do not split topics across several threads. This makes following the conversation in the threads view very hard as the context of the other messages is missing. If you have additional information either edit the original message or post to its thread. Regarding the problem, 500 means a server error, so yes, if you want to download from GH page and get a 500, it's their fault. I would though just use the normal download at https://gradle.org/releases/, I was not even aware there is a Gradle downloads repo on GH. Besides that usually anyway you will not download any Gradle version manually.

I only realized there was a problem because when I changed the Gradle version in the wrapper properties, then IntelliJ IDEA didn't want to "Sync project with Gradle files" successfully due to the download failure.
It's working now so it seems to be related to that GitHub's issue after all.

Oh, really? I thought Gradle uses a different CDN than GitHub downloads. Maybe I misremembered or something changed. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ
