I'm generating a catalog with versions and a platform altogether, but I wonder if having versions within the catalog is a good idea Imagine that, during dependency resolution, the platform gets bumped up.. could be the catalog with versions be somehow a problem? Theoretically I'd like to use a platform for alignment and catalog for typesafe accessors and bundles, which could make me leaning toward a catalog without any versions.. What do you think?

Problem is what related? Having versions in the catalog is like having coordinates with versions directly in the build script. If the platform mandates for a newer version, conflict resolution will pick the newer version if no strict versions are in play. If you can consume the catalog without the platform it might be unhandy to not have versions. If they always must be consumed together and all versions are in the platform, there is probably little value to have them in the catalog too. 🤷‍♂️
